Was looking at rogues site but found this place. Cheaper than other places so was worried about quality. Nope, Erect. Color black was amazing! No hammer bone look, just perfection! No dents or anything.

over the past couple weeks I’ve placed a few orders with Barbell Standard. Every order that I have placed I have received in a very ! …usually three days. I think this time it took four , the weights for the most part are double boxed so when they arrive they’re intact and undamaged. Even though the shipping carrier does their very best to destroy the boxes, the plates themselves get to me unharmed, that speaks for the proficiency of the packing and shipping department with Barbell Standard …,,which brings me to the “powder coating” on these plate plates… it’s done very well and it’s very durable. that’s why I choose to buy these plates over the other competitors’ brands that are baked enamel. I accidentally dropped one on the concrete floor and it didn’t even chip. It left a slight mark on the edge, but I was able to rub it with my finger and basically erase it so the finish on these plates are really done very well. the plates are cosmetically appealing very very structurally sound… great plates. I’ve made it a point to start a small curling station and I’m hoping to upgrade the majority of my plates …although I have a bunch so it’s gonna take time. I’m sure this won’t be the last review you see from me. Barbell Standard as a whole does really well. They do really good work. They have excellent customer service. I’m not saying everything‘s always perfect but they’ll work you through it …and you’ll work through it together ….and that’s the best part of it. They don’t talk at you. They talk with you. I give my overall experience five stars all the way across the board, but for this particular shipment, I give a big shout out to the shipping department. Great job guys keep up the good work if nobody else appreciates you ….I DO! If you’re still on the fence with ordering from this Barbell Standard….do yourself a favor …you deserve something nice …and at least place a small order ….experience the products firsthand , you won’t regret the weights…. I guarantee that the plates are really nice.🏋️‍♀️🇺🇸👍 …. as you can see from the picture below with the “wall of weights” …I have a lot of plates to upgrade to Barbell Standard , so I’m definitely speaking to you as a loyal customer. I did start with the “BIG BOYZ” on the bottom! now I’m working my way up ….wish me luck.😉

building a small curling station…

So I went back and wanted to expand a home gym and put my preacher curl bench with a few barbells and plates upstairs I didn’t wanna get stupid with it. I just need a small set up so I went back to my standard …Barbell Standard, of course, and ordered a small set of plates. Well like with anything concerning Barbell Standard and ordering plates ….ones too many and a thousand is not enough ….so one box of plates turned into three boxes of plates 2 boxes of 40lb sets and a four pack of 2.5 lbs….. shipping is fast packaging is good unfortunately the carrier that delivers my particular items isn’t that great, so you can imagine my surprise when I got one of my packages and it looked like hell …but other than a slight scuffing and a little bit of marr …they are OK. Like anybody else I wanted to blame Barbell Standard and they’re packing and shipping but that’s not them. It is the carrier…. As always, Barbell Standard has very good plates for an excellent price. I like the fact that they are powder coated not bake enamel …I own a wall of baked enamel plates and they’re really nice very economical, but I also carry a pack of black sharpie markers to cover up the scratches and chips in the plates constantly ….the powder coated plates….Don’t do that. They’re a bit more durable a lot more forgiving ….so I really don’t know where to go with this review other than showing you a few pictures of a small set up I’m working on and telling you that you should buy from Barbell Standard for the simple fact …they’re a are a great company and the shipping department is really good at what they do….now don’t get me wrong. I’ve had a few issues with them …..like everybody else, but Customer service made it right so no matter our squabbles it’s like family you fight you make up you move on I’ll continue to buy from them and I’ll promote whatever I can for them because I believe in helping out the smaller companies I don’t want to keep giving my money to the major conglomerate and I sure as hell don’t want Amazon to take over the world so do yourself a favor and buy from Barbell Standard because you deserve it .
