This bar is fantastic! I've been using it for not just squats but also rows, deadlifts, bench, overhead press, skull crushers, and curls. The only thing I was nervous about when ordering was when I read that the knurling was too aggressive. It is not! I've held some sharp bars before but they killed it with the volcano knurling. Yes the bar is longer, thicker, and heavier. It really doesn't feel like it's 66lbs. I have also found myself reaching for this instead of an axle bar when going for more focused grip work. The 35mm feels more comfortable in my hands than a 29mm power bar. To sum it up, I love this barbell! It has reignited my excitement about working out.

Big bar for big weights

Bar will be great to push the squat with. No bend until it gets 600+ lbs. No bar whip to mess things up in the squat.
