18,000 BTU Mini-Split Heat Pump Air Conditioner-230V

I really struggled with this review. The unit is a 5 star unit for the price point. But the lineset being metric almost cost me a ton of money. The issue was my friend a HVAC tech cut the lineset to make it look nicer then planned to just reflare the lineset. Something that's supposed to be very easy. But his tool did not work due to the metric lineset. What's worse is the directions say it's a 1/2 inch SAE lineset. The fix was using Emery cloth to hold the lineset in the flare tool. But it should have just had a standard lineset to begin with and this wouldn't I'll have been an issue. Otherwise the unit is very nice. Installed as expected. Quiet and very efficient. Id recommend the unit. But DON'T cut the lineset without a plan or a metric flare tool!! And TOSOT needs to change its lineset or say something in the instructions!

Clean install

Easy install. Only issue was cutting and reflaring the lines. The sizes don’t exactly match standard US sides for my flaring tool. Once I got over that, everything worked great right out of the box with no leaks.

Excellent value

18k unit was super easy to install and is working flawlessly. This thing cools our 2car + 1car garage during the hottest August days in Missouri. I’m now looking at their RV systems to add a second to our travel trailer.
