Sono Wood with Capiz Inlay Oval Bowl

Gorgeous piece and useful

I was looking for an abalone shell to hold burning sage and sweetgrass but this was more amazing. The shell is perfectly fitted into the carved out wooden holder and the wood has a beautiful orange area along the grain. It's more sturdy than a shell due to the solid, flat base. I will be keep the burning material inside the shell and not hanging over the wood, of course! But I just love this piece and it's so decorative even when not being used.
