The charcoal-gray stone is beautiful. It is smooth, flawless, and well polished. The lettering is also very professional and flawless. Unfortunately, the black letters do not show well against such a dark background and it is difficult to read unless you are close. Likewise the dark stone makes it difficult to place unless it is on a light background. We can not put it near grass or flowers. It can only be placed on light sand or light wood. Our previous stone was much lighter and much easier to read. Very nice job. Very professional. Difficult to read or place. Still, we are happy to have this momento, buy we will probably have to order another with a lighter background.
