The flashing lights in the tree are too distracting…

Overall, the set is just” OK”. I don’t like the flashing lights in the tree, so I rarely even bother to turn any of the lights on. The remote control is capable of different functionality, so I would have preferred it if the flashing could be controlled by the remote. Being unable to turn off the flashing effect really disappointed me, (I always use the remote to turn off the string of flashing lights, so half of the tree is always dark. That looks bad too…) (Quite honestly, if I had known about the inability to turn off the flashing effect before buying the set, I likely would have passed…)
