Off Grid Stores provided perfect service for five stars. The tilt panel works as advertised. In this case the review gets only gets three stars because it is a bit of a pain to adjust the panel back and forth. Every knob and every bolt must be removed to reorient the panel east in the morning and west in the afternoon. A better design would be a teeter totter approach with a pivot in the middle that would allow two of the bolts to remain in place while the panel is adjusted. The second design issue is the fact that the bolt hole pattern on the adjusting strut is not aligned with the bolt hold pattern on the roof and solar brackets. This means that it is not possible to store the strut on the roof when the panel is mounted in the flat position on sunny days when tilting the panel east or west is not needed. The third suggestion is to include standoffs between the roof and the bottom bracket. This allows for an easier to maintain and install roof seal. Consider mounting the tilt on 5/16-18 Threaded Barrels Diameter: 1 1/4'', Length: 1 1/2'', Clear Anodized. That way there is room to fit your hand under the panel when making adjustments and it is easier to seal the round standoffs to the roof rather than the bottom bracket with all of those slotted holes. You will need to throw out the lags and purchase longer ones to account for the extra 1-1/2" height. As you can surmise, a better RV tilt mount product can easily be designed. Send this one back to the drawing board.
