I've had the plants in the tank for about 2 weeks, and haven't really had any melt or leaf loss at all. I did the fresh cut stem option, and you get a decent number of them per bunch. They're also a good length, so you could cut them in half if you wanted to fill more space long term, and don't mind waiting for them to fill in.
