I like the sound of the XS a bit better than XT. We play about 40 shows a year and I usually change strings 3 or 4 times a year. Pretty durable. I'm a grateful lifetime member at Banjo Ben. I try to make sure I buy some picks, strings, straps, etc each year. Good to support a small business and always a smooth transaction.

XS PB mandolin medium strings

These strings are my personal favorite for my mandolins. I’ve been using D’Addario strings for quite sometime now and they sound, play, and feel great on the fingers plus having the coating on them they last 2-3 times as long as say the EJ74’s. Great product!
