Chen Pi (Tangerine Peel, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, 陳皮 / 陈皮)

Baked, Not Aged

I was really disappointed by this. It smells nice but imparts an acrid, burned taste when brewed with tea. I think it was baked to simulate aging instead of being authentically aged. I’m thinking of throwing it out. I regret not buying the other more expensive Chen Pi from this store instead.
