Lifetime/dream purchase
Epic space for the weight, this has been my dream tent purchase and I've only just started to use it so will probably have more thoughts soon...
Tent is great, but there has been some minor leakage through a couple of the seams and the top reinforcing cone. Seams are easy to sort with some patches, cone may take a lot more effort to make fully waterproof.
Comes with plenty of material for guy outs, but no linelocs for said guylines other than around the base of the tent.
No pegs are supplied - I knew this when I bought the tent, however it does detract from the value of price/product.
Overall, it is a very expensive bit of kit, that will perform well once some little tweaks have been made, however for the price I think HMG could be a bit more onto it with QC, and supplying enough hardware for all the guyout lines, and a basic repair kit to go with the tent.
My experience is as an outdoor instructor for 12 years, so I have used quite a bit of varying equipment to compare to, but am also a realist in that no gear is perfect, and it would be unrealistic to expect that.

Roomy and bomber!
So far I have used this on a two night backpacking trip above 12,000 feet in the Rocky Mountains where I got hit with 50+mph winds and driving rain, a week long river trip on the Middle Salmon River in Idaho, and a twenty-five day river trip on the Grand Canyon. I have used both trekking poles and the carbon fiber pole and have an assortment of tent stakes for different application (soil, sand, etc.) This tent does it all and I was even able to set up on solid sandstone using rocks for the corners. It is lightweight, sheds wind and rain, and is roomy and comfortable.

Got this tent and immediately took it on a 5 day packraft down the Copper River in Alaska. We had wind, silt, bugs, rain, you name it. The tent stood up great, was easy to pitch and breakdown by myself, and stayed clean despite all the river dust. The zipper needed a good clean by the end of the trip but once done it was good as new!
