I was able to try out the Snapper as a demo at Badfish when I visited Salida and it instantly felt right. I caught one wave on it and immediately went back to the Badfish shop to buy it for myself. Playful and so fun to carve with on waves, soooo stoked I bought it!!

Growing nicely on me with time
When we first got both the Shuvit and the Snapper I was initially more drawn to the Shuvit as it, interestingly enough, felt more stable even though smaller. I'm about 6' and 180 lbs. However as I've spent more time with the Snapper I'm really enjoying it. Partly that's due to finding the right fin setup. I was using just a twin fin setup, but now I'm using two small twin fins along with a C-Drive stabilizer by NVS. It keeps the board reasonably fast and adds an element of control and drive. I like the volume of the board for paddling and popups, the board turns well particularly when you can get back on the board and drive the turn from the tail. I'm pleased with my progression using this board but now my surf buddies are telling me I have to try a thinner board. Perhaps a Badfish Reverse is in my future. The river surf journey never ends...

Yes it IS as good as it sounds!
Lots of volume but still 5'10. Wide but still handles super well. I put some short fins on it once I got used to it and it handles like a race car. The full deck pad is nice to keep the wax off the lifejacket. The finish is fantastic. Mine got slightly damaged in shipping but apart from that I'm loving the Snapper experience!
