NISSIN ONI Ryu Tenkara Level Line

Using it as a sighter

I really-really like feel of the NISSIN ONI Ryu line. Unfortunately, my eyes are struggling to pick up the orange right after the cast. I have switched over to the 3.5 &3.0 Shimosuki Florescent Green for the butt end of the line…and put the orange Oni 2.5 on as a sighter. Oddly enough, this color arrangement works for me… but if I flip the colors (orange Oni at the butt…green Shimosuki at the tippet)…then I struggle find my line right after the cast. Weird……Happily, DRAGONtail has both colors /vendors available!

Dragontail has great rods and plenty of accessories for my Tenkara adventures. Their service is fast and accurate and I appreciate them very much. I own a total of 6 Tenkara Rods and 2 are Dragontail rods and I use them frequently. (Did you know that "Tenkara" translates as "From Heaven" or "From the Sky". ) Makes perfect sense.

I ordered the 4.5 Orange to use with my Daiwa Keiryu X 36. It casts a 15' line terminated with 4.5' of Maxima 5# line without any issues. That's really saying something b/c I've struggled with casting level lines up till now!
