Regarding the Soundsmith EZ Mount headshell hardware, it did exactly what I required to increase the cartridge weight to better mate it with my VPI JMW Memorial tonearm. I could instantly tell the difference sonically from having less than adequate weight at the cartridge/tonearm interface.
