Took a long 2 years of procrastination and debating between gas or electric. Finally accepted that gas was too much of a hassle and unnecessary in Florida. Happily the heat feature of this unit is perfect for Florida and the width of the unit fits perfectly in the space from original wood burning fireplace with no demolition of concrete framing. Very happy with purchase and plan on doing a second matching unit on the exterior.

Fireplace looks and operates well. The instructions and operating manual are not clear as to the installation and operation of the remote. The only reason it is not 5 stars.
