I like Romaine costal star seeds as I grow in a hot house in a hot desert like climate . They are heat tolerant, and mildew resistance. They grow larger and larger if I don’t use them and always stay sweet. I cut them off about two inches leaving the root and they grow again. I use remay cloth so the cabbage moths can’t get to them . I also use diatomaceous earth to prevent ants farming aphids on them.

Fast growing, delicious, crisp lettuce. Would work well for full grown or small spring size use. High germination, easy to grow. Beware, the caterpillars love it too!
