Seed Share Project

McKenzie Seed is the foundation of the Seed Share project across Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Their wildflower pollinator mix, already blended with a growing medium, makes it especially well suited to our needs. To this base, we add buckwheat and locally collected wildflower seeds, then distribute—this year—approximately 5,000 seed packets. When planted along roadsides and pathways, these flowers create a continuous corridor of nourishment for pollinators. For our purposes, there truly is no better base product. I’ll certainly be back for more as we begin filling our third tub.
