Good grind, no low or high spots

After a thorough and reasonable explanation and history lesson from Ichimonji, it would be understandable that it be easy to assume the knives are not super sharp out of the box, but its for good reason. Reason being that theyre less likely to get damaged during shipping, and we can shape the edge to our liking. It was easy for me to shape the edge to my liking, the grind was excellent, no low or high spots, just some time spent on the grits and it has a new and sharp edge, it cuts better than any usuba ive owned or used. Would certainly recommend.

Disappointed at the Fit and Finish of the Knife Handle

Because of the no return policy for foreign shipping. I have to accept this knife otherwise i would definitely return it. For something that cost about 100000 Yen, i would expect a better one. The knife was not sharp out of the box, i have to resharpen it. The handle having a little dent here and there out of the box. The steel still hold good sharpness after i re sharpen it. Still i would expect better from a 100000 yen knife.
