Thrilled to have (finally) joined the club!
I have known of Lock & Co for many years, but never ventured into it until a month ago. I’m an American living in New York, but have spent a lot of time in England and regularly visit London. As a dedicated hat-wearer (I have several dozen) and an Anglophile, how is it that I deprived myself of the pleasure of buying, owning, and wearing a Lock & Co. hat? I remedied that a month ago with a visit to the shop, and the selection of a handsome Trilby, assisted by Mr. Brendan Wong who helped me with pleasant good humor (I dithered) and sage advice. Opening the parcel it was mailed to me in was akin to Christmas morning— perfectly wrapped in a Lock & Co hat box and nestled in tissue paper. It hasn’t been cool enough weather in New York for me to wear it out yet, but that hasn’t stopped me from repeatedly trying it on in my apartment and enjoying it. I am, indeed, now a devoted customer of Lock & Co. coincidentally I am returning to London on business next week, and will be sorely tempted to make a path back to Jermyn Street and through the door again at Lock & Co…
