Its seems like a good idea. I think my dog gets it but he's not really using it. He did use it once, when I forget to give him a treat after I let him in.

Great Bell

I ordered two bells, for the front and back doors. They are very well made and easy to install. My 6 month old lab mix has not yet figured out that he needs to ring the bell himself, but he definitely knows that the bell means we’re going outside. We’ll get there.
