Great product

I needed to replace a bone saddle for my acoustic bass. It was poorly fit, loose and a little too low. The 1/8” string saver blank was perfect for the setup I needed. Slightly thicker and longer than the bridge slot. The material is easy to work with and shape with nothing but a sanding block. About ten minutes worth of work. Custom fit and great sound. Excellent product!

Better than bone

Drop your bone saddle on a marble tabletop, listen to the sound it makes. Compare with a Tusq saddle, you'll notice the Tusq 'rings', the bone is a dull sound. Conclusion: Tusq will conduct wider range/color of string frequencies, bone will reduce/attenuate the string frequencies.
