8-Frame Wax-Coated Beehive Kit – (2) Deep & (1) Medium Unassembled | Hoover Hives® Original Beeswax Finish

First 8 frames and wax coated hive I have had in my over 50 years of beekeeping. The wax coating would’ve been nice if it was only on the outside of the box but wax coating on both inside and outside made it extremely heavy. Much heavier than my 10 frames that I paint.. The other thing I don’t particularly care about is that I always glue my frames together and with the wax on the joints, that’s not possible. The other problem that I had was with the nails that they provided were too big and they split numerous frames so I switched over to my own smaller diameter nails

Haven't put it together yet but looks to be nice equipment. My only problem is the description says solid screened bottom board....this is solid bottom board not screened! UGH
