Strongman Log Bar

This log is a good balance of value and quality. The 90lbs starting weight is a good entry weight. The lockup with my Rogue Aluminum collars is VERY tight and secure. The bolt on sleeves are housed in an internal sleeve to help with support. The sleeves have a 500lb max weight rating, which I probably wont come close to so I’m not concerned, especially with crash cushions. Only “gripe” I have is, I wish the log body was just a little longer on each side for log pin presses in a rack. However, I knew that going in before buying. The fit and finish is very nice for the price and the glued rubber gasket is a nice touch (My log did have glue drips inside from the trim, not a big deal). The powder coat is even all around & looks nice. My log did arrive with a few minor scuffs on the ends of the log (probably from shipping). It’s a strongman log, they dont usually stay pretty, so its fine with me. Overall I’m very happy with it and it will serve my needs well for years to come.

Great log for the price, there’s nothing one better on the market in the ~$300 price range. Ive had it about 2 weeks and put it through a decent bit of use, and I’ve been very pleased with it. It’s well made with solid clean welds, the loading pins are rock solid and if tightened down properly won’t budge and don’t look like they’ll bend under normal use, it’s about as close to 90 lbs as you can get so the weight’s pretty accurate (my calibrated scale has it at 90.4 lbs), and it has normal sized handles unlike the Titan log at about this same price point. I’m am 80kg strongman competitor so I’m not putting up crazy numbers, but I’ve loaded it up to 230 lbs and dropped it from overhead to crash pads for a few reps and it handled it well. The only down side I’ve seen from it is the barrel is a little shorter than I’d like, as you can’t set it on a racks safeties to press out of the rack or do pin presses, if it was just 3-4” longer you could and it’d be a lot better value, but for the price that’s not a deal breaker for me. Unless you want to drop $7-800 on a log I don’t think you’re going to find one better than this.

If it were just the log I received I would probably have rated it at a 4, because there were some minor issues. That being said, the overall construction and design of the log is great. Feels super solid and well made. Only issue was a slight alignment issue of the hole the bolt goes into to hold the sleeve in place. But Valor’s customer service team worked with me super quickly to get the issue resolved. And not only did they seem to want to make sure it was fully taken care of for me, but they also seemed to legitimately want to make sure to have a thorough understanding of the issue to make sure it doesn’t happen on other logs (as they said they haven’t had this issue before). That in and of itself shows how committed they are to the quality of their products. Definitely will be buying from them again in the future!
