Amazing Duffel

I purchased this duffel for minimalist 1-bag travel. However, I realize that not everyone travels the way I do so I'll break down the bag into pros and cons. Pros: - Size. It's a very spacious 16L (IIRC) bag. It has three compartments that hold essential items. The central compartment can hold 1 to 3 spring/summer outfits, but that depends on the size and thickness of your clothing. The two side compartments are roomy for electronics (such as a Bose over-the-ear headphones, Kindle, chargers, cables, portable power, etc.) and toiletries. - Materials. Tom Bihn uses some of the best materials in the bag game. The materials feel great and are lightweight. The zippers are sturdy and have a nice glide-feel to them. It also feels like this bag will last decades. - Functionality. Handles are strategically placed which make grabbing the bag easy, whether the bag is under the seat in front of you or resting next to you. - Aesthetics. This duffel just looks awesome. Cons. - Size. This duffel is smaller than what many people might think. 16L is a wonderful size for a personal item on a flight (the size is the primary reason why I bought it). However, if you need to pack extra shoes, then you're probably not going to be able to do so unless your shoes are barefoot shoes. You're not going to be able to fit a pair of sneakers or dress shoes in this bag. This isn't necessarily a con, per se, I just want people to be aware of what this bag won't fit so you can adjust your expectations accordingly. You certainly will not be fitting a laptop in this bag, either. Although, I am able to fit my Kindle Fire 10 in the top part of the middle compartment. - Price. If you're shopping for anything Tom Bihn, then you're already aware of the price of their products. This duffel is on the pricier side for its size. However, understand what you're getting here. You're getting a product with impeccable engineering that will last you for many years to come. The quality of this bag is top notch. As long as you understand that this is a personal item type of bag, then you won't be let down. Overall, this is an excellent travel companion and it partners well with a backpack or a roller (the bag does have a luggage pass-thru on one side). If you're looking for a personal item or you're a minimalist travel like I am, then this bag is excellent, and you won't be disappointed.

Personal sized perfection

I really love my made in the USA night flight personal size carry on. Fits perfectly on my roller bag and fits under the seat in front of me easily. The three compartments sort my things nicely and are easily accessible during a flight. I have looked for a long time for the perfect personal sized luggage and I have finally found it. I debated buying a backpack but I don’t think all of the items would be accessible as easily. This bag is also very handy for non flying adventures. Holds my toiletries, hairdryer, makeup and medications in one convenient bag.

This bag is my favorite thing!

I love this bag! It is just the perfect size for an overnight trip. This bag may be smaller than you expect, so check the measurements. The combination of wilderness and kelpie is gorgeous! I love the pockets and how thoughtfully made this is. I think it would also be an excellent carry on or personal item for flying.
