A wonderful New Addition
I've had a copilot for over a decade and I needed a carry-on companion fast. First the quality is fantastic. The zippers buttery smooth and never once did I fear the dreaded catching zipper.
I loved how I could fast convert in the plane from an over the shoulder to a backpack in 30 seconds so I could run to my next my next flight

Great bag, although I get the feeling they may be retiring this bag.
I’m a touring musician that does a lot of fly dates.
Lots of long weekends in USA and week to 10 day tours to Europe.
I needed a bag that can be used as a personal item that I can wear with a strap, because my bass guitar case has backpack straps and is considered my carry on. I would rather not check a bag.
Most cases waste a lot of space with laptop compartments and admin panels.
I don’t carry a laptop. All my tech stores in a tech pouch, so that is wasted space. I appreciate that the WF doesn’t have that.
The WF’s organization is perfect for my needs.
I can fit what I need for my trip and is acceptable as a personal item on most of my flights.
Most comparably sized bags this wouldn’t be possible.
I’m sure this bag isn’t as popular as the Synik etc.
But there’s a segment of travelers that this bag is more useful .
I see that there’s very limited color options and no plans for new options.
The packing cubes for the WF are out of production too.
The Tri-Star and Trinity are either too large, or too segmented and cost significantly more.
The Pilot is too small but is designed as a 2nd bag.
My use case might be unusual but I’m sure other users might agree with my assessment of the unique design of this bag.

Great size, very practical
I got a Western Flyer in 2023 for a trip to Europe because our usual carry-on suitcase was too big for one leg of the trip. My husband borrowed it for a weekend trip and liked it so much that I decided to get a second one so we wouldn’t be fighting over who gets to use it.
