I was surprised at how heavy my helmet felt at first with the Da Brim installed, but i adapted to it quickly, which is unusual for me. There is a fairly significant amount of resistance that it adds in windy or downhill conditions, which can be significantly countered by by lowering your head a bit. Da Brim provides significant shade, which largely counters these issues for me, but may not for others. After three rides with it, I hardly notice it. My biggest personal problem is that i ride with a Sena 2 helmet, which has Bluetooth communication with my spouse's helmet. The controls are partially covered, though not enough to make them inaccessible, and charging requires pushing the band up, then retightening it afterwards. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I should note that Da Brim told me that their products are *not compatible with Sena helmets, but I read on a forum that other Sena helmet wearers were using them successfully.
