Excellent choice
Right off the bat the bow feels and performs better than my current low quality CF bow. The hair feels like a much nicer quality, and I’m noticing quite a bit more grip and projection. I’m too new to really know what to look for, but I can be confident that my learning will come easier with this bow.

Go ahead and get it...
I am a beginner, and have played on $20 Anton Breton bows, $30 String Centre bows, and even the popular Fiddlerman $70 price range (which is an awesome bow for the price, no doubt). I like good stuff, handmade Martin guitars, Gibson guitars, and such. I was reluctant to buy this bow, I was worried that my problems are just my technique. However, I opened it up, rosined the bow, and was really pleased with the purchase. I can honestly say that there is a noticeable difference in the weight distribution. Which made me more willing to go after the melodies, not shy off. Also, a lot of the crazy noises that were happening, suddenly were less pronounced. Not only that, the sound was so much warmer, that even my wife who doesn't comprehend the first thing about music, after listening to the $70 and this bow, said she could hear the difference, and knew when I was on the Codabow. I am grateful to have this bow, and thankful for the fast and courteous service that I get from Fiddlershop. They really are a top-notch organization. Also, it's nice to speak with folks that really know what they are talking about on instruments and accessories.
