Peggy Sue Accordion Pleat Skirt

This was honestly such a fun skirt to make. While there are admittedly a lot of pleats to stitch, once you get a rhythm of pin, press, and sew, they aren’t that hard, and I love the final look. The skirt fits very well because of the elastic waist, and I thought the shorter length was just right. My favorite thing about GennieWren patterns is that I always learn something new from her very well written patterns … this time, it was her instructions for applying the offset hook and loop tape that was so much better than a standard overlap when done on a knit. I used a fat quarter of cotton fabric for the skirt, and the shorter skirt fit perfectly with almost no scraps leftover. Definitely a skirt I will make again!
