Atomic Hawk Prime XTD 130 Review - Great all around Backcountry and Resort boot
I have only skied on them two days with only a half day tour, the rest in the resort. Overall, I like them alot. They are basically what I expected. Positives for the boot are they ski really well. They are stiff, responsive, and reliable. They are also pretty comfortable. I had a few hot spots here and there with them being brand new, but I didn't have to unbuckle them during my resort days. So, they weren't hurting, just a little tweak now and then laterally. Warmth was adequate but the temp was not very low, mid-20's. On the tour, easy transition - in and out of walk mode. Heel stayed in place on the up and down - no blisters so far. I think the main weakness is the range of motion seemed a little lower than my old Scott backcountry boots when extending forward on my glide. So, I think my stride may be a little shorter than maximum. Weight of the boot felt fine and don't think that it affected my speed or endurance on the up. Overall, with a very limited use so far, I am happy with the boot and believe it is a good boot for sidecountry and shorter backcountry days and is really great in bounds in the resort for a backcountry-capable boot. I would buy it again. Others that I considered were Lange XT3 and Scarpa Mastrale

High Performance Daily Driver
I use this boot for resort daily and really enjoy it. I can really drive it and I've seen significant performance improvement with this boot in all conditions. On resort I'm usually riding all mountain with park sprinkled in. I also use it for boot pack and easy touring, sledding, and bc kickers. I'm not sure of its durability quite yet though. On day 2 of using it one of the buckle guards snapped off while i was skiing and i didn't discover until the end of the run. Its a minor inconvenience, but something maybe to be wary of.
