Iki Ruixin Pro™ Sharpener + 4 Whetstones Set

This sharpener works extremely well on knives. It gives you a very uniform and sharp edge. It is also advertised to sharpen scissors which is the main reason I got it. It lacks in this area as the pivot that controls the edge angle binds when you set it high enough to sharpen scissor edges.

It works, but it is also way trickier than I expected. Instructions were poorly written and set up requires a protractor! And even with one i have no idea how accurate the blade angle is.

The kit works well for ‘rescue’ sharpening of blades that have been seriously blunted. It’s worth noting that I want, and am satisfied with, very sharp, but will not waste my time on ‘slicing printer paper sharp’ - I don’t do a lot of that. All that said, the process takes quite a long time. The results are good, but for my kitchen and hunting knives that have *not* been abused, I can restore an acceptable level of keenness with a few strokes on a whet stone - literally 30-40 seconds, and then continue using the knife. Bottom line: if you’re a hobbyist who enjoys owning surgically sharp knives, this is a good buy. If you’re a normal knife user, with some practice you can do almost as well by hand in a small fraction of the time.
