Replacement Plastic Spool Pin Kit for Singer - Part # 172007-R

The replacement spindles fit nice and tight and will not come ot. I am so happy to get my mother's 1960 Singer Slantomatic back up and running again.

The spool pins are hard to get a snug fit into the holes, especially on the cam cover top on my 401A. I have had to twist them hard and repeatedly and even tapped lightly with a small hammer. Thought I had the one on top in but it fell out the first time I tried to use with thread on them. The bobbin winder friction wheel I think is much better than ones I had purchased previously. It feels better quality and a little"beefier". I did not realize with earlier ones that different vintage machines might take different sizes and it is hard to figure out which ones work best unless specified. The problem I had with previous ones purchased was they did not always connect while winding. They seemed to be made of hard plastic and had a little nub I had to file off and they still were inconsistent. This one in this package, felt more like rubber or at least softer and no nub on it. The motor and winder is still off on my 201 machine waiting for other parts but it seems this one will work much better.

This pieces worked perfectly on my Singer 347.
