Lines with Soul

Sometimes a tool doesn’t just help you draw… it changes how drawing feels. That’s exactly what happened to me with **Standard Pens by RetroSupply**. While working on **REV!**, my exhibition about the birth of pop culture through the Mod movement, I needed lines with soul—imperfect, lively, with that **mid-century** character that inspires my work. With these brushes I stopped thinking about the digital tool and started enjoying the line again, almost like drawing with a vintage fountain pen. I also combined them with other RetroSupply packs that are already part of my workflow, like **Color Lab** and **The Complete Mid-Century Brush Collection**, which helped shape the final visual language of the pieces. Many of the illustrations that now form **REV!**, exhibited at Fundación Club 45 in León (Spain), were created this way. And when you're trying to capture the spirit of another era… the right line changes everything.

Nice choices of pens, I especially love the simple smooth liner and ballpoint pen. It's my go-to at the moment. Love it!

Good pens with the enough amount of attitude you can use for daily jobs. These can be one of those brush sets you learn quickly how to use and apply to almost everything. Good for handwriting, doodling, etc.
