Gouache Shader Brushes for Affinity Designer

Great product even for a novice artist/creator

I am a real basic level user of affinity and use Monky for my event pictures and posters and signage at event site and I knew what I wanted on the last print job and really didn’t know what it was called but after searching I found this site and brush packs and purchased and BAMM! instant artistic gratification . I was using this pack to sort of emulate a spray paint background layer on top of a photo sign to then place text on top to Stand out and this did the job . Plus the access to these new brushes pushed me to learn more about what they are and do and how to manipulate them. So they inspired me as much as helped me .

Lacks tutorial

Brush range is extensive and you can figure out how the fill brushes work quickly with a bit of experimenting, the size of area they can fill in is limited. But there's no guidance on how to use the brushes appropriately - how to master the style. There are two great samples pictures, the Viking and the dragon, a walkthrough of how they were coloured in and why those choices are being made would be hugely beneficial. I have the tools but not the know how. In a world where you can ask Nanobanna to do complicated edits if you have the vocabulary, these tools could be better positioned with pointers to everything you need.

Love my new Gouache Shader Brushes

I really didn't need more Gouache brushes because Affinity already comes with preset brushes- or so I thought. These brushes are crisp, fun and gives me more options for my designs. I liked them so much I made another purchase. Any time I can find quality brushes for Affinity I am very happy.
