Christmas mittens knitting pattern

Gauge

I wish there were clear instructions about gauge. I bought the correct brand of yarn, but the gauge was too small so mitten was waaaay too small. I had to find another pattern. Also, thumb instructions were inadequate. I’m an experienced knitter, so I was able to improvise. I very rarely make a negative comment. I hope this is helpful. These could be simple improvements on the pattern.
