Stability and burner control
I've use a canister top micro stove, or a big double burner for years, depending on the trip. Lately I've been wanting a single burner, but a more secure base. This is definitely NOT a back packing stove, dud to size and weight, but for rafting and car camping it's excellent. Strong stable base, low profile, and excellent burner control
