Paradise Touring Paddle Board

Fast, Stable, and Surprisingly Beginner-Friendly

I bought the Hydrus Paradise specifically because I wanted to get into touring and wanted something with good speed. To be honest, its narrower profile was a bit intimidating at first for my very first paddle board, but it has actually turned out to be pretty stable! If you like slightly more of a challenge than an all-around board it's worth a try. I’ve taken it out several times now in the bay under both calm and choppy conditions, and it has exceeded all my expectations. **What I love about it:** * **Speed Meets Stability:** It tracks beautifully in a straight line and glides fast, exactly as a touring board should. Even in my novice hands, it handles bay chop like a champ and gave me instant confidence. * **Top-Notch Quality:** Right out of the box, you can tell the construction is premium and built to last. * **The Click Fin:** The click-in fin system is incredibly quick and easy to use at the launch spot. * **An Actual User-Friendly Bag:** I love, love, *love* the storage bag. This bag is so accommodating. I’ve done the loosest roll possible and the board still fits back inside with zero issues. If you want a fast, high-quality touring board but are worried about it being too tippy, don't be. The Paradise is the perfect balance of speed and stability. Highly recommended!

Good board, but not great

I’ll keep this short: This Paradise at 15 pound pressure for me (5’11”, 200 lbs) left me with two distinct impressions: 1. It’s not nearly as “fast” as I thought it would be. Felt more like a regular do-it-all board. It glides but it still take quite a bit of effort, even on glass water, to really move. 2. It’s way more stable than I thought it would be. So the trade off for the above is the stability. Handled chop and boat wake well. Ultra rigid and relatively easy to turn. So yes, I know there’s the “faster” Paradise that’s slimmer and perhaps I should have gone with it but overall for the wide variety of water I paddle I think this is still a winner. The construction seems phenomenal but only time will tell with it.

Paradise spearfishing rig

Enjoying my Hydrus paradise. Coming from an Isle pioneer sup I wanted something with similar volume to pile gear on for spearfishing but skinnier to get more speed and distance with the same effort, I’m getting about 1mph faster speed for the same cadence. The paddle board quality is top notch, no issues so far. Love that I get 3 fins to tailor to my use. The board bag is high quality and quite roomy. Overall very happy with my board and its performance.
