Organic Black Beans

These black beans are the best I have ever eaten, and I have eaten whole-food plant-based for eleven years and have eaten a lot of beans! I soak these for about 24 hours (as Ocean Robbins recommends for all beans) then cook them for an hour in our Instant Pot. Although it’s not necessary to cook them this long, we’ve learned that well cooked beans makes them more digestible and velvety-delicious. These black beans are the blackest of black and are a real treat.

I use these a a great staple in our meals. I pre soak, boil, and freeze them in batches of around 3-4 pounds so we always have some in the freezer ready to be thrown in to a batches of soup, Mexican dishes . . . No cans with plastic linings!!! They’re the best!
