Worth it for the 12s

If you are getting the 10s or 8s I would say that you can get by without it. If you are getting the 12s I think the forehead rest really helps stabilize them. I find it useful both on and off the tripod. It just gives another point of contact and settles out wobbles or vibrations. One thing to think about is if you are using a bino harness it might cause your binos to sit in there funny or not fit.
