Gleodream Texture Powder

Gleodream texture powder is incredible. Of all of the texture powders, dry shampoos, & very wide product selection I’ve used in my post-styling + non-wash day routine, this is absolutely amazing. There’s endless uses from what it does as a moisturizing face mask with a little bit of water to the amazing, light way it adds texture, volume, cleanliness & life to worn-in styles. In my own experience as a tenured barber - from what other reviews might say, folks may be using this product dirextly into dried hair which doesn’t allow this product to showcase its true utility & value. This product is absolutely irreplaceable in a collected post-styling routine. Absolutely give this a try, Shear Revival does not miss. I beg that this product never leaves their lineup.

It's ok

I've had this product for about 5 weeks now. I bought this because I've never liked using styling products when I have shorter hair. I thought maybe I can use the powder with shorter hair. I've watched tutorial videos, and I've used it with both short and longer hair. It could be user error, but with the powder by itself, I can never get a style I like. It does add some texture and some volume to my hair, but I don't like the way my hair looks. Using it as a pre-styler in conjunction with pomades/clays/waxes does work better for me. On the plus side, I do have oily hair, and the powder does absorb the oils.

This is the first texture powder I've ever tried and I absolutely love this stuff. I should note that I've only ever used it as a texture powder, so my review is limited to that context. I bough it over a year ago, I use it almost daily and I'm just now nearing the end of the bottle. I use it between my pre and post styler for extra hold and volume and it definitely helps. It works with most of the post styling products I've tried (American Gardens Clay, Gerson and Co. Matte Clay, The Salon Guy Pre Game Wax Paste, Flagship Matte Paste, Arcadian Matte Paste, ODouds Dry Wax) but one thing to watch out for is if you're using very matte products and you want to add this to your styling routine, it could make your hair too dry. I tried using this with Gerson and Co Texture Paste and my hair got too dry and just fell apart. Otherwise, it's been a great addition. I've been styling my hair for around a decade and I really wish I had found something like this sooner. The scent is very mild and unless you're completely soaking your hair in it, you probably wont even smell it once it's in there. If you want to give your hair that extra boost, this does the trick.
