Wanting to show her that she has numerous friends and loved ones to support her through this surgery and the long recovery ahead, I decided to get her something meaningful. Although she did not take the ring to the hospital, she kept a picture of the ring taped to her bed, serving as a reminder of the care and encouragement that surrounds her.
