Takeshi Saji R-2 Damascus Folding Santoku Knife (Black G-10 Handle, TS-110)

Handle has sharp spine and I will have to soften those edges. The handle also comes down low at the back and I'd parallel with the cutting edge. Balance is great and the steel is nice. I was expecting higher quality from the maker though I think this is just a fun production knife and not actually finished by Takeshi saj or one of his top apprentice. Those pieces are two or three times the price. I will definitely be using this in my camping gear.

Really pleased with JCK’s service. As a repeat customer, everything from ordering, shipping, communication, and of course receiving such a beautifully crafted knife is always 10/10. I ordered this knife close to the Christmas holiday, not expecting to get it until after Christmas Day and received it with 3 days to spare. I was even able to have it custom engraved as a gift for my dad. The knife itself is much larger than anticipated and seems up to doing any task. The blade had a paper thin edge and the beautiful Damascus steel was stunning. Now I want one for me too 😊
