GREAT grinder!!

I bought this for my husband. He is NOT a coffee connoisseur, but I have at least gotten him hooked on quality coffee! He loves this grinder because it is not complicated to use and it gives him the results that he has come to appreciate. So, it’s no frills, (a good thing!) ,delivers exactly what I wanted it to, and the price can’t be beat...win win!!

Excellent Grinder for Drip Coffee at Less than $100

I bought the Capresso Infinity Plus to grind beans to use with my Bonavita coffee maker. I use a Baratza Vario-W for espresso (also a great grinder, by the way), so I know quality. So far, the Infinity's conical steel burrs put out a very consistent "medium-ish" grind that tastes great with the Bonavita, at an 8 gram dose per cup - 64g for 8 cups. I pour out the beans and weigh the dose using the grinds bin, then pour them into the hopper, replace the grounds bin, and turn the timer to 8 cups. The Infinity grinds relatively quietly and turns off just after the hopper empties. Remember, this is still summer(and humid), but the grounds bin still generates a little static, and I have to tap the bin several times to loosen the ground coffee in the corners to empty it in the filter. Grinds do stick in the chute (so, brush it out), and I notice the grinder does retain some grounds from the previous use. To remedy that I'm getting into the habit of running it empty before I put fresh beans in the hopper. OH! WARNING - The grinder will run without the grounds bin in place. Cappresso guys, this such an easy fix - even for less than $100!. In any event, if you don't want to scatter your expensive coffee beans all over your counter, make sure you put the grounds bin in place before your turn the timer knob. Lesson learned!
