Hoodie Dress 14-15" Doll Clothes Pattern

Cute - but...

I made the hoodie top version for my granddaughters Bryant doll. I used a T-shirt my husband no longer wanted for the fabric and did a bit of customization by making an iron on from free printable clip art and added felt dragon scales down the hood. While I am very pleased with the look I found the fit a bit small. I had to redo the arm/side seams smaller than 1/4" to get it to fit and it's still hard to get his hands in. It's also hard to get on the doll in general. I did check the pattern pieces before cutting it out and they seemed like they would be wide enough. I did lengthen the sleeves because they were too short. I also found some of the instructions a bit lacking. It was easy to put together and I will probably make it again for her other Wellie Wisher dolls but will definitely make some adjustments to the pattern.

This hoodie sweatshirt dress pattern was well-written, with clear directions. I found it easy and quick to make the outfit. As others have said, it was a bit snug to get the hood over the doll’s head, but not that bad. I may leave the hood open a bit more the next time I make this. It came out really, really cute! The fabric I used was a light French terry from a repurposed girl’s shirt.
