The Oyster Starter Kit

We’ve enjoyed visiting Glidden Pt. on the last 3-4 vacations to Maine, but ordered them for delivery for the first time for this past New Year’s Eve. We were very happy with the order. Of course the oysters were delicious, accompanied for the included house cocktail, a lemon, and the starter kit shucking knife and towel, but the whole package experience was great as well. The oysters were well packaged, they maintained their chill and necessary temperature with the cool packs, and the thermometer included in the package along with the instructions was helpful and reassuring to know if/that the oysters were indeed safe to eat temperature-wise. All in all, we would order a shipment of oysters from Glidden Pt. again without question.

A Pleasant Surprise

I did not know I would get an oyster knife as part of the package. It is better than the one I have been using, it makes opening those beauties easier. As always, the oysters were delivered fresh and promptly. Since I live in Maine, I can get oysters at the local fish market but when I want the freshest best tasting ones, I order them from Glidden Point.
