It’s okay

Well it’s alive, but it is definitely not the best bare root tree I’ve seen or purchased. It has no branches at all , and limited root system . It’s been in the ground about a week and has not budded at all. It’s alive and has green when given the scratch test, but in my opinion it was over pruned and not in great shape. I hope it works out. Time will tell. I bit disappointed this far. I am not new to bare root trees, and have planted a lot of them with success from other nurseries. Also it was very dry and didnt seem to have been packed in the best way to keep the roots moist during shipping.

Moldy roots

Received this tree and the roots were moldy when I unboxed it! Contacted customer service via email about the issue; received an automated response stating I would be contacted in 2-3 business days. It's been 8 days and still no response. It's very disappointing to receive a tree of this quality and it's even more irritating when the company is non-responsive about remedying the issue.

Leafed out after a little over a week...

And even has some flowers on it right now. I'm trying not to be too excited about this plant producing loads of fruit, but right now it's a five star.
