Short Throw Shifter / Porsche 718, 981, 991, 992

Great shifter; however note that certain modifications are needed when installing to 718 Cayman. I had to put a couple of spacers on the back of shifter, modify the cable seating a bit so I can shift to reverse and cut the one of the clips of the shift boot since it would not go in otherwise. I am happy with the final result but just be aware of these gotchas.

Installed in under 2 hrs. Great improvement over the OEM shifter. Very precise and very solid shifting experience.

I read a ton of reviews and watched a YouTube video before I pulled the trigger. It's pricey but I used Numeric's first time customer discount. I couldn't be happier, Porsche should be ashamed shipping 100K plus cars with a plastic shift box. I've enclosed a picture of the factory plastic piece alongside my fresh install. Installation was simple with the video assist. Took me a very careful/methodical 45 minutes. I could do it a second time in 25. If you're handy you've got this. Every time I drive the car I'm reminded just how good this shifter is. It's precise, rifle-bolt solid. Especially with 7 speeds! I highly recommend. Regards, Scott
