Great gift for inquisitive grandchildren

My grandson thoroughly enjoyed receiving this for Christmas. We will be working together to explore the science of optics. Everything we need to conduct introductory experiments is included in this kit, except for a meter stick which I purchased separately.

I am using this optical bench for a class in astronomy to model a refracting telescope, which requires two lenses. It would have been nice to have three convex lenses, one additional with lens holder with an appreciably shorter focal length to model the eye.
