An interesting addition to our life

The make of this mattress is beautiful. It really is an exceptional natural object to have around the home and a wonderful piece of furniture to behold. The make is fantastic and it is quite heavy. We went from a spring mattress on a frame, to this shikibuton on the floor. For my husband it is perfect, but it is a little firm for me so we have supplemented it with a topper. It is difficult for me to take the cover on and off because the queen mattress is heavy, but my husband doesn't have a problem. Because this requires maintenance, it encourages you to get into a rhythm of taking care of your things, which brings you into a better relationship with your bed. I really like that.

Shikifuton

Love it. I already had been sleeping on a firm mattress, but the shikifuton (3") is even firmer. It is very firm but at the same time I can feel the softness of the cotton. Cannot imagine myself going back to sleep on a mattress.
