My only regret is that I didn’t discover K9 Ballistics sooner. For years, I have been buying a quality bed from a competitor but there were issues (water resistant but not waterproof; tough durable cover but not sufficiently so; a zipper that only went down one side of the bed so after washing the cover, an enormous amount of manhandling was required to get the cover back on the bed). Not only does this new K9 Ballistics bed have a thicker orthopedic mattress (7 inches!), but it is encased in a waterproof liner, and a lovely plush bed cover over that. BEST of all, the bed cover opens like a suitcase because the zipper goes all the way around 3 sides. No more wrestling to get a clean cover on the bed and no more stinky mattress because of the liner. I don’t see myself ever buying a dog bed from anyone else ever again. My Newfoundlands are REALLY happy! I can’t end without saying a word about the customer service. K9B originally sent me the right bed cover but the wrong mattress and I was very disappointed. Naturally it came on a weekend so I emailed, texted, and left a phone msg. On Monday, I received a response from all three and the problem was resolved immediately. I was thrilled by how quickly the right mattress was sent to me. Not only that, but the “wrong” bed was donated to Texas Heartland Sanctuary and now an old arthritic rescue dog who will never be adopted anyone is living out his last days on the best dog bed of his life. I have two great danes, ages 5 and 2.5. The younger of the two is still recovering from an ACL injury and needed a softer, more supportive bed. These mattresses fit their crates perfectly and give them so much more support. The older dog is now so comfortable in bed that he refuses to get up until he's good and ready, and the younger one lays right down whereas before he would circle, get up, circle again, and change position multiple times before falling asleep. Best investment I've made for my boys.

Finally Found A Worthy Dog Bed

I have spent so much money on dog beds only to have each of them wear out within a few weeks. This is the only bed I have found that has comfortably fit and held my dog. If you have a dog that weighs over 150 lbs than this is for you. No other company I have dealt with could make a product good enough for extremely large breeds. Great product. Very satisfied.
