Ignaelum Classic | Medium | Marimba Mallets

The build quality is fantastic for the price, i love the colors, the birch shaft feels smooth but with grainy texture and offers nice grip, they're a bit heavier than i thought, but they feel nicely balanced in the hands and you get used to it, they also have a great deal of bounce. The sound profile is deep, big, warm yet articulate with a lot of projection and attack in louder dynamics but never harsh, the mallet has a surprisingly amazing response all across the board on a 5 octave marimba. Dark articulate bassy sound on the lower octave and clear, round sound on the treble, never muffled, produces a good tone even on the highest C. Allows for a lot of musical expression and colors from pianissimo to fortissimo, with plenty of warmth and no contact sound on piano dynamics and the clear attack of the rubber core on forte dynamics. Definitely my favorite set of marimba mallets i have ever bought!!

Phenomenal product. Responds so well on the keyboard; helps me to express my feelings without breaking the bank.
